Art work from different eras were analysed, links were made with society and phenomena of other areas of the period. A visual work was made based on the analysis. The task supports students to make connections between art, art history and society and raise the knowledge of the role of art and artists in different eras.

Identity
We discussed culural, geographical, historical contexts of the work by Daniel Blaufuks and the stories of our families . We discovered we are all mixed , our roots were spread out around the worls. Many students had african ancesters , one grand father was a nazi soldier, others were Portuguese soldiers in Africa, racism, colonisation and war issues were raised. Drawng out our family portraits we discovered things that our parents had kept in silence. All kind of archives were used; objects, photographs, post cards, oral histories. The end produts were very different from drawimg , to objects and collages. The important was the thinking process , drawing to unserstand ourselves.
