Entrum

Entrum is a long-term annual entrepreneurship programme initiated by Eesti Energia aimed to support youth entrepreneurial initiative in regions, using an active and exciting format to teach them how to be enterprising and active in life. Entrum provides practical knowledge of how to bring an idea to life, and to achieve goals and results. The programme’s goal is to raise people who are in charge of their own lives.

In the current 2010/2011 academic year, the programme was held in Ida-Viru County and drew over 600 Estonian- and Russian-speaking teens aged 15-17 who launched 87 projects to improve life in their home community. We have asked leaders from many fields to share their experience through the programme. Patrons of the programme include Olympic champion Gerd Kanter, film director Ilmar Raag, organiser of TallinnMusicWeek Helen Sildna, singer in AveNue band Vladimir Tsherdakov and singer Tatyana Mihhailova, and other famous and prominent people will also be involved.

The mentors of the programme help the young participants in practical ways, and help them start their own projects in different economic areas including creative industries, new technologies, services and production, as well ecological business. The session ends with a competition for the best youth entrepreneurship project.

Entrum is inviting this year’s participants to Eksperimenta! triennial.
