Call for papers
We are looking for intriguing and inspiring presentations / workshops, which would lead to a better understanding of the essence of contemporary art and would contribute to integrating / translating contemporary art into the art teaching process. The length of presentations is 45 minutes, workshops 60 minutes. For teachers we have reserved a session of short presentations (up to 20 minutes) on both days to present best practices.
Researchers and practitioners in the visual arts and art education are invited to submit abstracts for peer-reviewed papers, presentations and practical workshops within the themes and sub themes:
The Art of Teaching: how to support and develop creative and critical thinking? How to give the young people more freedom and responsibility in the process of learning and creating? How to teach without teaching? Can art be taught? Why teach art?
The Art of Evaluation: based on what and how to evaluate artworks? Which evaluation strategies and practice can be used in creative disciplines? How to find a balance between evaluation of the process and the completed artwork? How to build a bridge between the evaluation practice of school and actual art world?
Abstracts must not exceed 300 words (excluding bibliography) and should be submitted within one of the key themes listed above.
Please do not submit multiple copies of the same abstract under different themes. All abstracts will be reviewed and may be moved into a different theme if needed. Once you have submitted you cannot make modifications.
Abstracts must be submitted on the given submission form, correspondingly the form of display (presentation or workshop). The workshop abstracts must include a list of necessary tools and materials for the workshop. Please send the abstracts to the e-mail address: [email protected]
